Isaac Ben-Zvi, president of the Jewish National Council of Palestine, will leave on Monday for Turkey in connection with the efforts to save Jews from Nazi-held European countries. Dr. Emil Shmorak, member of the executive of the Jewish Agency, left for Turkey today. He will also attend the opening of the international industrial exhibition in Smyrna at which Palestine is represented with a special pavilion.

It was announced here today that the World Jewish Congress is considering the proclamation of a world-wide Jewish mourning and protest day similar to that recently observed in Palestine, at which the immediate rescue of European Jews will be demanded at meetings in all democratic countries.
