A closed meeting of representatives of Jewish organizations called by the Jewish National Council adopted a resolution today protesting persecution of Jews in Rumania, Poland and Germany, emphasizing “there is no other place for persecuted Jews but their homeland,” and demanding of Great Britain a clear statement of policy to enable mass immigration into Palestine.

Two Arabs today fired upon three Jewish workers returning home from the quarries near Givat Shaul, seriously wounding Shmuel Ben-Yona, 29, of Bokhara. Jewish children in the Ben Shemen colony near Lydda were fired upon, but no casualties were reported.
