More than 1,200 persons attended a supper dance held last night by the Women’s League for Palestine aboard the S. S. Ile de France, Proceeds of the affair will go toward the building of a new Beth Chalutzoth patterned on the colony in Haifa, erected by the league.
The location of the second home will be decided upon the return of Mrs. Rose Isaacs and Mrs. Ray Bergman, who are now surveying conditions in Palestine to determine where the need for help is greatest. Other officers of the league are Mrs. I. Arons, Mrs. Rose Blumenthal, Mrs. Richard Gottheil and Mrs. William Prince.
