A meeting of sixteen Palestine mayors, including two Jews, today unanimously resolved that the projected municipality ordinance, which is to be preliminary to the establishment of a Legislative Council, is “inconsistent with the dignity and interests of the Palestine people.”
A Committee of Six, including the two Jewish mayors, was appointed to carry on the fight against the ordinance.
