Following considerable negotiating the Sun Insurance Office, Ltd., Alliance Insurance Co., Ltd., and the Pearl Insurance Co., Ltd., three of the largest British insurance companies, have agreed to establish a united insurance scheme for the orange groves of Palestine.
The companies were persuaded to agree to accept insurance on the orange groves when the progress of Palestine was placed before them in concrete form. The insurance plan is only an experiment and whether it is placed on a permanent basis depends on the orange growers themselves. The insurance plan covers floods, storms, gales, and catastrophes caused by human agencies such as violence and strikes.
