Negotiations for the formation of a representative Committee to Control the Export Trade for the present season have been brought to a successful conclusion and an agreement has now been signed between the Committee and the Agents of the “Liners”, the British Shipping Companies, whereby oranges for the United Kingdom will be shipped at a freight cost of two shillings net per case. The first direct steamer for the United Kingdom left Jaffa on the 11th of November.
