The 60th birthday of President Eduard Benes of Czechoslovakia was marked here today at a concert of the Palestine Symphony Orchestra featuring the works of the Czech composers Smetana and Dvorak,
For this concert, and for the one given in Jerusalem yesterday, the orchestra was led by a Czechoslovakian Jewish conductor named Singer. A park named after Benes is to be established at one of the Jewish settlements, it was announced during the concert.
