A huge public works program, aimed to aid the distressed Arab villages, was announced today by the Palestine Government. The program is independent of that projected under the two million pound loan announced in the British House of Commons yesterday. It will consist mainly of road-building in North Palestine.
The Palestine Government is also considering further relief for the Arab villages by releasing some seventy of them from payment of tithes.
