President Truman today told his press conference that the Palestine question is still under discussion with Prime Minister Attlee. He said that he had had several messages from Attlee on this subject.
Asked if Palestine would be discussed during Attlee’s visit to Washington, the President replied that the atomic bomb was the only subject scheduled for conversation, but that the Prime Minister could, of course, talk to him about anything he wanted.
A two-day international Christian conference on Palestine opens here tomorrow with representatives of twenty-six nations present. The conference will discuss the work of Christian pro-Palestine committees throughout the world. It is expected to consider the organization of an Inter-American and an International Christian Pro-Palestine Committee.
