A manifesto urging support for the Golden Book in memory of the late Lord Balfour and asking the synagogues and Hebrew schools to volunteer for active service in this “dual good deed of the redemption of the Holy Land and remembering the great figure of humanity who wrought mightily for the benefit of Israel” has been issued by Rabbis Kook, Meir, Aronson and Uziel.

Tel Aviv is leading in the number of inscriptions for the Balfour Golden Book. The Tel Aviv inscriptions include the communal council, the Rutenberg works, the Anglo-Palestine Company and the Hadassah gymnasium. There are now 26 inscriptions from Palestine for the Balfour Golden Book.
