A meeting of the Hebrew teachers in Jerusalem was held here yesterday to consider steps to obtain the payment of arrears of salaries from the Zionist Executive. It was decided to take strong measures against the Zionist Executive for having failed to fulfill the promises made in writing to the teachers. A definite undertaking had been made to pay the salary for May some time ago, but no such payment had per been made.
The meeting decided to appeal to the Maad Leumi, National Council of Palestine Jews, and to Chaim Nachman Bialik to exert their influence with the Zionist Executive in order that the May salary would be paid without further delay.
