The graduation of the first class of the Government’s law school in Palestine was celebrated yesterday. There were forty-five graduates, thirty of whom were Jews.
Sir Herbert Samuel, the High Commissioner and Norman Bentwich, Secretary of Justice, delivered addresses. Speeches were also made by the Director of the school and by the Arab and Jewish graduates and teachers. The Jewish teachers emphasized that this was the only school where modern law was being taught in Hebrew.
