The estates of the Russian Orthodox Church in Palestine will have to be mortgaged for the purpose of improving the financial position of the Russian church in that country, according to a statement of Metropolitan Antoni, who arrived here from Russia today.
The Metropolitan declared that he was sent on this mission by the Orthodox Russian Synod, and that he would stay in Palestine for about two months. While here, he will visit the High Commissioner.
