Additional immigration certificates will be issued by the Palestine Government to the Executive of the Jewish Agency at the end of this week, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency has been informed. It is hoped in Zionist circles here that the number of additional certificates will exceed the supplementary number granted last year.
The Executive of the Jewish Agency has already started negotiations with the Palestine Government for certificates required for the next six months beginning April. The Executive has submitted figures to the government upon which it bases its demand for the labor certificates, at the same time expressing the hope that the government will agree that the present shortage of labor justifies an increase in immigrants to Palestine.
