Acting in accordance with the wish of the Mandates Commission of the League of Nations, the Palestine government will grant $30,000 a year as a subsidy for the Jewish religious courts in Palestine, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency learned here today.
The demand for such a subsidy came from the Vaad Leumi, the Jewish National Council of Palestine, which requested that the Jewish religious courts receive proportional subsidies from the government, as other courts do.
