About 5,000 workers assembled last night in the Courtyard of the Tel-Aviv Gymnasium to discuss the unemployment question. Speeches were delivered by Mr. Feinstein, Ben-Gurion, A S. Rabinovich and others, and a number of resolutions were adopted calling on the Zionist Executive, Palestine Jewry and the Government to take immediate action with a view to casing the unemployment in the country.
After the meeting a group of workers, of the extreme left faction, attempted to hold a demonstration in the streets, in front of the Municipality Offices. The Police intervened and in the encounter several policemen were jostled. Four demonstrators were arrested. Yesterday the Magistrate issued an order to keep them in custody for 15 days for the purpose of making an inquiry.
