Palestinian Authority officials are using their VIP permits to smuggle weapons into Palestinian- controlled areas, according to the Jerusalem Post, which cited an Israel Radio report. Some 72 Palestinians hold these permits, which allow unhindered passage at Israel Defense Force crossing points, as well as free passage for those accompanying them, according to the radio report.
