Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat said Israel must halt its “aggression” against the Palestinian people if a fragile cease-fire is to have any chance of success. In a strongly worded statement, Arafat also told a meeting of nine Arab foreign ministers in Amman that the “war-crazed” government of Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon is not serious about resuming peace talks.
