Palestinian Jew Helps Complete Arab Hospital

A Palestinian Jew has donated the sum necessary to complete the Moslem hospital building at Beirut, states the “Aleph Ba”. A provision was made that a stone tablet be placed in the hospital bearing the inscription: “The building of this Institute was completed with the money of the Jews, who are brothers in nationality to the Moslems.”

The “Aleph Ba” comments favorably on the attitude of the Jewish benefactor.

A department to take care of the education of American childen in Palestine has been established by the Society for Jewish Culture.

Dr. M. Gurevitz, former teacher at the Herzliah Gymnansiurn, will head the department.

The Society will furnish all necessary information, give the children preparatory education in the United States, if such should be necessary, will escort the children to Palestine and back and place them in the respective schools and dormitories.

A reception will be tendered Judge Jacob S. Strahl, President of the Judea Life Insurance Company, on Sunday, prior to his departure for Europe.

The reception is being arranged by the Agency Department of the Judea Company and will be held at the Hotel Waldorf-Astoria.
