Palestinian police wounded an Israeli soldier Wednesday near the West Bank town of Jenin. The soldier’s colleagues said the shooting occurred after the car they were traveling in entered the Palestinian self-rule area accidentally. As a result of the incident, the soldier was taken to an Israeli hospital, where he was being treated for moderate bullet wounds, and the area around Jenin was declared a closed military zone.
