Palestinian sappers blew up an Israeli army outpost in the Gaza Strip, killing five soldiers and wounding six. Hamas and a little-known terrorist group called the Fatah Hawks tunneled under the outpost near Rafah and detonated more than a ton of explosives Sunday night. In parallel, gunmen opened fire on the Israeli troops. At least one terrorist was killed during the attack, and Israel retaliated early Monday with air strikes against Hamas arms foundries in Gaza City.
