Palestinian terrorist groups’ offices in Syria reportedly were closed. The closing of offices of groups such as Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine came this week, following a meeting earlier this month in which Secretary of State Colin Powell demanded that Syrian President Bashar Assad close the offices and curtail the groups’ activities.
