Palestinians and Israeli police scuffled in eastern Jerusalem after Israel banned a memorial procession to the grave of the former top Palestinian official in Jerusalem, Faisal Husseini. Jerusalem Mayor Ehud Olmert defended the order, telling Army Radio the gathering was meant to be a “political, provocative demonstration.”
