Thousands of anti-Nazi pamphlets containing such phrases as “You cannot build a world on Jewish sufferings and racial persecution,” are openly being circulated throughout the Netherlands by a sixty-year-old Christian Socialist, Mynheer Scheps, it was reported today by Dutch circles here.

Although the Socialist movement in Holland has been outlawed by the Nazi occupation authorities, Scheps, who lives in the province of Utrecht, continues to print anti-Nazi literature which is to be found in thousands of homes. Each pamphlet bears his name and address but up until now the Nazis, who are both puzzled and enraged by his audacity, have not made any attempts to arrest him for fear of a popular uprising in the region.
