A conference of representatives of Jewish communities in North, Central and South America, will be held in Montevideo, Uruguay, on July 9,10 and 11, it was announced today by Dr. Stephen S. Wise, president of the American Jewish Congress. Invitations to the conference, which is the first of its kind in history, have already been issued.
Dr. Wise said the meeting was designed to bring about fuller cooperation among Jewish communities in the Western Hemisphere. The conference, he added, would seek to coordinate methods of bringing material and moral help to Jewish victims of the war and unite all American Jewish communities in support of Palestine.
