A campaign by the Tel Aviv evening daily, Yedioth Ahronoth; to raise funds from its readers to bring one shipload of immigrants from Eastern Europe to Israel was underway today.
The newspaper said it hoped to finance the movement of an entire ship from a foreign port to Israel. The plan was welcomed by the Jewish Agency and Government leaders.
