The facts of the anti-Jewish incidents in Bukowina are as follows, writes the “Adeverul” here:
“The leader of the Cuzists at Dorna Vatra, a student named Robote, went to Kosla, accompanied by three other students, one of whom was Totu, who murdered David Falik. They set upon the Rabbi of Ilva there and beat him, and plucked his beard. In the train on their way back, they attacked and threw out of the train three Jews, Moses Laufer, Samson Klipper and Samuel Greisler. During the evening someone met Robote and gave him a hiding as a reprisal. The next day a student came into the Shiber Bank and said that the students demanded from the Jews two million Lei compensation because Robote had been beaten.
“The Prefect of Dorna received instructions from the District Prefect to take preventive meansures at the railway station because a party of students left on the line Dorna-Dar-manesci where excesses took places. Jacob Vishnizer of Czernowitz, Jacob Shmetteler of Bistriza and Osias Rachmud of Botoshan were seriously injured.”
