A call for Jewish parents throughout the United States to register their children in Jewish schools for the 1958-59 academic year during Jewish School Enrollment Month, was issued here today by the American Association for Jewish Education. The month will be observed between May 20 and June 18.
The AAJE call noted that by registering children in the Spring for school terms which begin in the Fall, parents make possible orderly planning of curriculum and the selection of teachers. Also, the call pointed out, the child will be able to begin his work with the public school’s academic year, and will view his Jewish school as a well-organized institution.
