Reports carried in the New York Evening Journal today describing Petrus Kalemen, slayer of King Alexander I of Yugo-Slavia and Foreign Minister Louis Barthou, as a Jew, were denied here.
Kalemen, it was officially stated, was a member of the IMRO, revolutionary Macedonian organization, which not only bars Jews from membership but has frequently adopted a most hostile stand toward them.
Tattooed on Kalemen’s arm were the skull and crossbones of the IMRO insignia as well as the initials of the organization’s name.
