A demand that Jews in unoccupied France also be required to pay a billion franc fine, such as was levied on Jews in the occupied section last week, is voiced by Lucien Perjean writing in the Nazi-controlled Paris paper Le Matin, reaching here today.
“This would only be logical and fair,” he writes, “since Jews on both sides of the line (the demarcation line separating occupied and unoccupied France) carry an equal share of the guilt, because both applaud the detestable attacks on German soldiers and both support the Maffia which finances the British-Jewish-Masonic terrorism.”
