The Foreign Office was investigating today a report that a French citizen, a woman of Jewish origin, had been deprived of her property in Danzig under the Nazi-dominated territory’s property confiscation law of July 6.
According to Le Temps, the Danzig authorities have taken from the woman all he shares in a Danzig department store. The newspaper said it was the first such incident involving a French citizen. The Foreign Office was unable to confirm the report or state what measures would be taken if it were found to be true.
