The three-year controversy within the Jewish Consumptive Relief Society has been settled to the satisfaction of New York contributors, it was reported here at a conference of auxiliaries held at Hotel Astor. Full support of the Denver sanatorium maintained by the Society was urged at the conference.
Addressing the meeting, Harry Greenberg, vice-president of the International Garment Workers’ Union, said that his organization will fulfill a three-year old pledge to build a $200,000 building at the Denver sanatorium to accommodate union members. Louis Nizer told the conference that a new democratic constitution will assure contributors a voice in the management of the institution.
