An Emergency National Conference to adopt plans to aid German Jewish refugees, to which leaders in every part of the United States will be summoned, will be held here Sunday, Nov. 12th, it was announced by Louis Lipsky, National Chairman of the American Palestine Campaign.
A statement issued by Mr. Lipsky as part of the announcement of the conference said: “It is becoming increasingly clear that Palestine is virtually the only country that can provide a permanent place for the absorption of a substantial number of German Jews. Palestine stands forth as a solution to the present problems, not merely because Hitler’s Government is driving Jews to destruction, but because Palestine offers a genuine haven of economic support and spiritual freedom.”
