Parliament will shortly be given an opportunity to discuss openly the Palestine development scheme, details of which were made public this week, J. H. Thomas, secretary for the dominions, declared today in the House of Commons. Mr. Thomas’ statement came in reply to a query from Commander Kenworthy.
Addressing himself to Premier MacDonald, Commander Kenworthy asked whether the. House of Commons would be granted a chance to discuss the proposed $12,500,000 loan which is to finance the development scheme. Replying to this question, Mr. Thomas said that it is proposed to bring before Parliament a bill which asks that body to authorize the British government to guarantee the development loan.
