Participation of Foreign-Born in War Effort Discussed at Cleveland Conference

Mobilization of all Americans of foreign birth for full participation in the war effort against the Axis will be discussed at the Sixth Annual Conference of the American Committee for the Protection of the Foreign-Born which opens here tomorrow at the Hotel Carter.

Participating in the conference, which will run for two days, will be representatives of organizations of the foreign-born, foreign-language newspaper editors and social, cultural and fraternal groups. Among those scheduled to address the Conference during the two-day sessions are. Hon. Earl G. Harrison, Special Assistant to the Attorney General of the United States, Dr. Malcolm S. MacLean, Chairman of the President’s Committee on Fair Employment Practices and Hon. Frank J. Lausche, Mayor of Cleveland.
