Special food for Passover week will be distributed to needy Jewish families by the Emergency Unemployment Relief Committee, it was announced by Frank Kidde, Chairman of the committee’s food and clothing division.
The food will be put up in packages similar to those now being given out at the committee’s depots, on behalf of the seven chapters of the American Red Cross. Tickets for the food will be made available to families under care of Jewish welfare associations.
Jewish dieticians and welfare societies were approached, with the result that packages have been prepared with contents meeting the prescribed dietary regulations.
