Pastor Muenchmeyer, leader of a campaign of bigotry in Borkum, the popular German summer resort on the North Sea, was compelled to leave the ministry following a court sensation in Germany where Pastor Muenchmeyer is noted for his anti-Semitic agitation in connection with the Borkum hymn, an anti-Semitic song over which a legal high developed among various authorities.

The pastor was sued for breach of promise and for fraud. He was found guilty of seducing girls.
