A suggestion that public schools be closed on important Jewish holidays was made here by the Rev. William Griffin, at a Brotherhood Day meeting of the B’nai B’rith. “It wouldn’t do the Christian brotherhood any harm to celebrate among other holidays the Day of Atonement—Heaven knows they need it,” he said.
