Patriotic Demonstrations in Hungary Prohibited

The demonstrations of the patriotic organizations which were scheduled to take place here on Sunday were prohibited by the Bethlen government. It was declared that following the prohibition of demonstrations by the Liberal organizations, Admiral Horthy indicated that the government should also prohibit the demonstrations of the patriotic Right organizations.

A panic was caused among the Jewish population of Budapest when the announcement was made that huge demonstrations would take place. It was stated that the organizations intended to cause anti-Semitic riots during the demonstrations.
