Patterson, Jewish Legion Chief, Urges Unity Among Jews

Lieut.-Col. J.H. Patterson, greeted her last night in connection with the twentieth anniversary of the Jewish Legion of the British army, which he commanded in the World War, called for internal unity among Jews.

“Do not worry about the Royal Commission’s report,” he concluded. “There is a higher authority–the Bible which promised Palestine to the Jews, and Palestine is Jewish.”

Other speakers included Chief Rabbi Moshe Avigdor Amiel of Tel Aviv and Rabbi Uziel of the Agudath Israel.
