Acting on the instructions of the Ministry, the Financial Administration in Oradeamare, has paid out a sum of 6,800,000 lei as compensation to shopkeepers and others who suffered damage in the anti-Jewish excesses which took place in Oradeamare last December. Items amounting to 8,800,000 lei have been distributed for the restoration of synagogues which were damaged in the disturbances and 15,000,000 lei have been distributed among shopkeepers and others who suffered losses, so that in all the Government has paid out nearly 24 million lei in compensation.
