Able Nathan, Israel’s self-styled peace pilot who has new involved himself with the problem of aid to starving Biafrans, returned here today from a brief visit to the breakaway region of Nigeria. He said he went there as “second pilot” on one of the night airlift planes from Lisbon.
Mr. Nathan said he would soon return to Biafra but said he would do so in a plane of his own which he intended to fly during daylight hours to the besieged region. He said the plane, which he declared be bought in Venice, had been painted white. He said he would go to Venice and fly from there to Biafra, accompanied by a number of Catholic priests.
