The appointment of Jacob S. Pearlstein as Jewish National Fund field representative for the Southwest, was announced yesterday by Dr. Israel Goldstein, president of the Jewish National Fund of America. Mr. Pearlstein, who was formerly executive director of the Jewish Community Center and Welfare Federation of Omaha, Neb., and affiliated with the Allied Jewish Campaign and the American Palestine Campaign, has assumed his duties in connection with the Keren Kayemeth Palestine Land Redemption Campaign, with St. Louis as his headquarters.
Mendel N. Fisher, national campaign director of the land redemption fund-raising effort, also announced the convocation of a Keren Kayemeth regional conference, to be held during May, to inaugurate the fund-raising effort in the Southwest communities.
