The central committee of the Peasant Party decided today to enforce strictly party discipline against those who openly advocate the introduction of anti-Jewish restrictions in Rumania.
The decision was adopted in order to check the efforts of ex-Premier Vaida-Voevod, a deposed leader of the party, in his efforts to create a bloc against the present leadership of the National Peasant Party which opposes the incorporation of anti-Semitic provisions in the program of the party.
“Any member who does not submit to party discipline will be expelled from the party,” the decision of the central committee warns, predicting the eventual expulsion of Vaida-Voevod from the party for his anti-Jewish agitation.
