A shipment of pedigree poultry has been forwarded to Palestine by the Canadian Hadassah. The shipment contained twelve cockerels consigned to Mrs. hannah Maisel-Schochet, the superintendent of the Canadian hadassah Agricultural School for Girls at Nahalal. One of the most urgent needs of the poultry industry in Palestine, was the raising of the present standards.

Through Mrs. A. J. Freiman, the Dominion President, who applied to Prof. F. C. Elford. Dominion Poultry Husbandman at the Central Experimental Farm. Ottawa, the Canadian Government donated six white leghorn cockerels. The rest of the shipment was purchased by Canadan Hadassah from poultry farms.
