Lord Peel, chairman of the British Royal Commission investigating administration of the Palestine mandate, tomorrow will visit Amman, capital of the Transjordan, it was announced today.
Emir Abdullah, ruler of the Transjordan, was reported to have expressed satisfaction with the Arab decision to abandon its boycott of the commission’s hearings.
In an interview with foreign correspondents, he is quoted as having predicted “trouble this Summer” unless the commission recommends satisfaction of Arab demands, especially stoppage of Jewish immigration.
