The Jews of Harrisburg have contributed their quota for the United Jewish Appeal, Malcolm Ulman announced today. He is the chairman of this city’s campaign.
The local drive was launched May 12 at a meeting which was addressed by Rabbi William H. Fineshriber of Philadelphia.
Associated with Ulman on the committee were Samuel Finkelstein, Jacob Miller, Nathan Bernstein and Gus Kaplan.
PERTH AMBOY CAMPAIGN LAUNCHED AT DINNER
The United Jewish Appeal launched its campaign her at a dinner attended by the community’s leading Jews.
Maurice Samuel, novelist, and Harry S. Medinets, chairman of the local drive, were the principal speakers. Attorney General David T. Wilentz was among those present.
A mass meeting will be held June 3 for the purpose of arousing interest in the campaign.
