The World Jewish Congress today reported that Jews have been invited by the people of occupied Holland to return to the country as soon as Holland is liberated. The invitation is extended in a manifesto published in the Dutch underground press.
Assuring the returning Jews that they will be welcomed, the manifesto urges “that repatriation of Jews deported by the Germans be carried on in the speediest manner; that all anti-Jewish regulations imposed during the German occupation be abolished; that all questions arising from war damage and expropriations and confiscations by the Germans be settled in such a manner that the victims of these actions will at least be able to provide reasonably for themselves.”
