President Peron today granted an audience to Enrique Dickman and presented him with a gold medal from the Buenos Aires Medical School which has been due since 1894.
The medal, which should have been presented to Dr. Dickman when he was graduated from the school with the highest honors, was denied on “social grounds.” Dr. Dickman, who yesterday celebrated his 80th birthday, was one of the founders of the Socialist Party in Argentina more than 40 years ago. A special government decree was issued to justify the belated recognition of Dr. Dickman’s achievements.
