Vice Premier Shimon Peres underwent surgery Sunday at Tel Hashomer medical center.
The newspaper Hadashot reported that Peres was operated on for prostate problems.
Aides to the Labor Party leader said that the surgery was “relatively minor,” and administered under a local anesthetic, but gave no other details. He is expected to be discharged midweek.
